A Massachusetts man was seriously injured after he was ejected from his vehicle on I-95 in Bangor.

Police responded to reports of a crash at mile 181 around 7 a.m. Monday.

Several people had stopped to help 25-year-old Kenneth Cartledge of Massachusetts, who had been ejected from his vehicle and was found lying in the roadway.

Investigators say he lost control of his pickup truck, causing it to overturn. Cartledge was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash blocked both lanes, causing a full shutdown.

Cartledge was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center where he’s listed in serious but stable condition.
