Police said living conditions in the home posed significant health and safety risks to the two young children.

DHHS Child Protective Services was immediately contacted and took emergency custody of the children. The Rumford Animal Control Officer also responded and took custody of the dogs.

Kubesh was charged with multiple felony offenses, including Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Fentanyl, Felony Possession of Crack Cocaine (all Class C felonies), and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

He was taken to the Oxford County Jail in South Paris and is scheduled for arraignment on Friday.

The raid took place at 244 Pine Street in Rumford on  Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 p.m.

It involved the Rumford Police Department, with assistance from the Norway Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the U.S. Border Patrol.
