Rumford man accused of pepper-spraying people

A Rumford man is accused of pepper spraying two families at an apartment building Sunday night.

Rumford police say 41-year-old Donald Wilson, who goes by “Harley”, was pursuing someone at the apartments on Cumberland Street when he became agitated and started pepper-spraying other people inside.

A 35-year-old woman and three children were taken to Rumford Hospital to be evaluated.

Wilson, who was believed to be under the influence, was arrested and faces several charges including criminal use of disabling chemicals, assault and disorderly conduct.
