Rumford man dead in officer involved shooting in Dixfield

A man from Rumford is dead after officials say he was shot by a police officer on Friday Night.  The incident occurred in the area of 1167 Main Street where Officer Dustin Broughton of the Mexico Police Department shot 29-year-old Matthew A. Marston.  The attorney general’s office is investigating the incident.  Details are few at this point, no word on why the officer had contact with the victim and what may have led to the shooting.  Stay with WGAN on-air and online for more details on the story as we get them.
