A Saco man is behind bars following an early morning assault in the Old Port.
According to our info partners at CBS 13, Portland Police said Matthew Calvert was charged with aggravated assault. A 26-year old Parsonsfield man is being treated at Maine Medical Center for serious injuries, after the Saturday morning assault.
Police are not clear on what led to the assault, but did say the victim is in stable condition at the hospital.
