WATERBORO, Maine (WGAN)  A Saco man has been arrested for an assault on New Year’s Day.

The York County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to a Townhouse Road home in Waterboro for a reported threatening.  Police say a female at the house reported her ex-boyfriend, Tyler Longmore, said he was going to come over to the house and assault a person who was present.

Police say before deputies arrived, the 20-year-old showed up and assaulted several people before fleeing the scene.  Deputies investigated and took a report on the incident.

Two hours later, Longmore was found at his Saco home.  He was charged with assault and posted $100 cash bail.  He’s scheduled to appear in Springvale District Court in February.

Police say there were no significant injuries from the alleged assault.
