Sanford Woman Accused of Hit-And-Run Indicted on Multiple Charges

A Sanford woman has been indicted on manslaughter and aggravated assault charges relating to a hit-and-run.

The Portland Press Herald reports the 15-count indictment against 51-year-old Carol Sharrow was handed down Wednesday by a York County grand jury. The indictment also includes charges of driving to endanger, leaving the scene of an accident and multiple counts of reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.

Sharrow is accused of driving her car onto Goodall Park in Sanford and killing a man during a baseball game in June. 68-year-old Douglas Parkhurst of West Newfield died in the hit-and-run.
