Sarah Mildred Long Bridge Walk Celebration On June 8th

Kittery, Maine – The Maine Department of Transportation and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation will host a Bridge Walk Celebration on Friday, June 8th from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  The bridge will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The community is invited to enjoy a morning on the bridge, take souvenir photos and listen to patriotic music.  The celebration will include representatives from both the Maine and New Hampshire DOTs, as well as Senator Susan Collins, Senator Maggie Hassan and Governor Paul R. LePage talking about the bridge’s importance.

 

The event was planned by key community groups from both the Kittery and Portsmouth communities to allow the public to celebrate the new bridge.
