Alleged Fugitive Driver found after Police Chase in Windham

Police say the driver who escaped following a police chase and crash in Windham is now in custody.

34-year-old Daniel Wayne sooner lead Windham police on a high speed chase Thursday night before crashing and making an escape. Windham police had been searching for him in the area of River Road.

Friday morning a nearby farmer found Spooner sleeping in his shed & held Spooner at gunpoint until police arrived.

Spooner is now charged with running from police, leaving the scene of a crash and endangering the welfare of a child.
