Searchers have recovered the body of an 84-year-old boater who went missing in York.
York Police say Chester Benjamin Wiggins left Cape Neddick Harbor around 6 p.m. Tuesday on his boat and hadn’t been seen since.
His boat was found crashed along the shore near Freeman Street in York around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
York Police said Wiggins’ body was found Friday afternoon and that the death was being investigated by the Maine Marine Patrol.
Police said Wiggins’ family had been notified of his death.
