Senator Angus King says he’s tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement, King said he received his test result Thursday morning after coming down with symptoms. He says that while he’s not feeling great, he’s feeling much better than he would have without the vaccine.

The Independent senator says he’ll be quarantining at home.

He took the opportunity to urge everyone to take precautions and get vaccinated, saying, “We must all continue to look out for one another through our words and actions, and remain united against this dangerous disease.”
