Sen. Susan Collins reports mild symptoms after testing positive for COVID-19

U.S. Senator Susan Collins has tested positive for COVID-19.

Her office issued a statement saying she had tested positive late Thursday afternoon and was experiencing mild symptoms.

Her office says she’ll continue working remotely while isolating according to CDC guidelines.

Back in August, Independent Senator Angus King also contracted the virus. He credited the vaccine for preventing more severe illness.
