Shenna Bellows to Lead Holocaust Center in Maine

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP)   State Sen. Shenna Bellows is the new executive director of the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine.

The center at the Michael Klahr Center at the University of Maine at Augusta hosts permanent and rotating exhibits highlighting Holocaust history, human rights and educational programming.

Bellows previously was executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Maine. She also owned a consulting firm whose clients included the Maine Women’s Lobby and Maine Immigrants’ Rights Coalition.

Nancy Spiegel, president of the organization’s board, said Bellows has the “experience and vision” to help the organization expand its reach “in these important times.”
