Silver Alert Canceled After Somerset County Man Found Safe

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office reported at 6:32 am Monday that Piper was safely located

There’s a silver alert for a 77-year-old Somerset County man.

Deputies say Lowell Piper was last seen at his home on Sumac Drive in Embden at approximately 4:00 pm on Sunday.

Piper suffers from cognitive issues and was reported to be confused when he left his residence.

His direction of travel and destination are unknown, and he does not have a cell phone.

Piper is described as a white male, 5’9”, 190 lbs., with brown eyes and gray hair.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a long-sleeve blue denim shirt. Mr. Piper is believed to be driving a gray 2025 GMC Sierra with Maine registration 471JVD.
