Etna man found safe after police issue Silver Alert


UPDATE: Public Information Officer Shannon Moss said Monday that Nolin had been found safe. 

Police are asking for the public’s help as they try to locate a missing man from Etna.

The Maine Department of Public Safety said a Silver Alert was issued Monday for 74-year-old Joseph Nolin. He was last seen around 8:45 a.m. Saturday near his son’s home on Dunham Road in Etna.

Nolin is a white man, about 5’9″ tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has white hair, a beard and brown eyes.

Nolin was wearing jeans and a plaid shirt without hunter orange. He wears glasses, but it’s not known if he was wearing glasses at the time of his disappearance.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Maine Warden Service at 207-973-3700, option 9.
