Snowfall Wasn’t Enough for Free Jewelry

PORTSMOUTH, NH (WGAN)  Though it was a white Christmas, there won’t be any free jewelry.

Springer’s Jewelers released a statement Wednesday saying the official snowfall at their Portsmouth location, calculated by Weather Analytics L.L.C., only totaled 4.3 inches, more than an inch-and-a-half short of the required six inches required for customers to get their money back.

The company says that over 400 customers stood to regain almost one million dollars in purchases from the “Let it Snow” campaign.

This was the 11th year the company has run the promotion without a single year meeting the requirements.
