A new skate park could be coming to South Portland.

The Press Herald reports city councilors recently expressed support for the project, which could be completed as soon as summer 2019.

A public forum has been scheduled in June to gather input from the community.

Councilors are seeking volunteers to help identify potential locations for the park. The Redbank neighborhood in South Portland has been considered as one possible spot.
