South Portland police seize nearly $100k worth of drugs from minivan, driver charged

SOUTH PORTLAND (WGME) — South Portland police arrested a local man on drug trafficking charges Friday afternoon after they found nearly $100,000 worth of drugs in the minivan he was driving.

Around 4 p.m., police say they received a call of a suspicious minivan toward the end of a parking a lot at 75 John Roberts Road with the driver appearing to be slumped over the steering wheel.

Officers located the minivan and subsequently found a large quantity of drugs, including more than 37 pounds of marijuana, 1.2 pounds of refined marijuana and methamphetamine.

Thomas D. Huff, 52, of South Portland was arrested and charged with indecent conduct, drug trafficking, refusal to submit to arrest and violation of conditions of release.
