The Maine Game Wardens say a Corinna woman has died in an ATV crash in Lincoln Saturday Night.

Shannon Brewer, 40, was driving a 2020 Can Am Maverick 1000 side-by-side on Pierce Webber Road near upper pond around 8:30 Saturday night. As Brewer approached an intersection she lost control of the ATV and skidded 50 feet before rolling the machine against a tree alongside the trail.

Brewer was pinned between the tree and the ATV.

Michael Martin, the owner of the ATV, called 911 and attempted to free Brewer with the help of another ATV rider who stopped to assist. They were unsuccessful in extricating Brewer.

The Maine Warden Service, Lincoln Ambulance, and Lincoln police responded to the scene, but Brewer was dead on arrival.

Excessive speed, inexperience, and possibly alcohol are factors of the crash, but it remains under investigation.
