Speeding Driver Crashes into Two Vehicles on Route 302

Four people were hospitalized after a reckless driver swerved into an oncoming lane on Route 302.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Dale Tucker of Casco sped away from police Sunday around 12:30 p.m. Deputies placed a spike mat on the road at the Raymond/Windham line. When Tucker approached, he drove into the opposite lane and hit two vehicles. Four people including Tucker were taken to Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Tucker was charged with multiple crimes, including criminal speed and aggravated eluding a law enforcement officer. He will be taken to Cumberland County Jail upon release from the hospital.
