State Fire Marshall’s Office is Investigating a Garage Blaze in Madison

The Madison fire department delt with a garage fire, Friday afternoon.

At around noontime, fire crews rushed to a house on Main Street in the town of Madison and quickly extinguished the fire.

Investigators for the State Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the fire originated in the wall area of the garage.

The fire remains under investigation pending confirmation of whether electrical service was present in the garage and is not considered suspicious at this time.

The tenants of the home were not hurt but have been displaced as a result of the fire.
