State Police Looking for Driver After Dramatic Crash

CLIFTON, Maine (AP) Maine State Police are looking for the driver of a truck after it crashed and sparked a power outage.

Trooper Joshua Lander told WABI-TV that the truck traveled off Route 9 Thursday night, went airborne, snapped a utility pole in Clifton.

Lander said the driver wasn’t at the scene, at home or in the nearby area.

About 600 people in the Clifton area lost power as a result of the pole being snapped. Power has since been restored.
