State police say infant died after falling out of horse-drawn carriage

Maine State Police say a 4-month-old child died after falling out of a horse-drawn carriage in Stacyville.

Police said the infant was taken to Millinocket General Hospital after falling out of the carriage, which was going down Route 11 on Wednesday.

The baby suffered a head injury and died after being taken to the hospital.

An investigation is ongoing.
