Tuesday marked the first day of school for kids at the Dike Newell School in Bath.

Dike Newell is in a new location after the previous building was destroyed in an arson fire in June.

The school includes students in pre-k through second grade.

Its new location is at the old Bath Regional Career and Technical Center building, which was recently renovated.

Volunteers from the community took part in the effort to get the school ready for students.

They worked non-stop to fix up the school in a short amount of time.

Now, 250 of the youngest students in the district are kicking off the new school year in Dike Newell’s new location.
