RAYMOND (WGME) – For Saturday only, as temps reached over 80 for much of the state, folks got an early chance to swim in Sebago Lake.

Tassel Top Park in Raymond held a soft opening to the summer season, the park opens fully the Friday before Memorial Day.

Between the walking paths and a chance to hit the beach, Mainers were looking for ways to enjoy one of our hottest days of the year so far.

The park is still looking to finish renovating both the snack shack and their cabin rentals before fully opening up.

But park officials say folks jumped on their chance to get season passes today.

“Very excited! There’s a lot of season pass holders that have come by and purchased there’s in the park. They can also purchase them online but some of them like to show up, talk to the staff, and get acquainted before the season,” said Joseph Crocker, Director of Raymond Parks and Rec.

If you want to get your season pass, you can visit here.
