Maine State Police say a 17-year-old girl who stole a truck from New Hampshire and led police on a chase through multiple Maine towns was taken into custody.

Police say the girl stole the vehicle out of Berlin, New Hampshire on Monday evening. She’s accused of driving through a construction zone on Route 2 in Bethel where she hit another vehicle and a barrier, while avoiding spike mats laid down by pursuing officers.

Police said she then crashed through a yard and into a fence, hitting a parked vehicle, before continuing the pursuit into Rumford, where she was stopped.

The driver wasn’t injured. She was taken to the New Hampshire state line where police in Berlin took her into custody.
