BOWDOINHAM, Maine (WGAN) Maine State Police say they’ve arrested a teenage boy as part of an investigation into the death of a woman in Bowdoinham.

Public safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the arrest was made in connection with the death of Marie Sylvester at her home in Bowdoinham on Monday. Police say the boy, who also lives in town, was charged with murder and has been taken to Long Creek Center in South Portland. He was arrested while being released from Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick where he had been admitted on Monday.

Police say the boy’s name will be made public once he’s in court on Friday.

While Sylvester’s cause of death has not been released, an autopsy determined it was a homicide.
