Three teenagers accused of setting a fire at a Lewiston apartment building have been found not competent to stand trial.

The three teens were charged with felony murder and arson for allegedly starting the fire at the building on Blake Street on Sep. 11, 2021.

70-year-old Felicien Betu, a resident, died after jumping from a window to escape the fire. Dozens of people were also displaced.

The Sun Journal reports that the teens will be examined periodically to determine if they become competent to proceed in court.
