Threat prompts lockdown at medical facility in Scarborough

The Maine Medical Center campus in Scarborough was placed on lockdown this morning due to threats made against employees.

The Maine Medical Partners Neurosurgery and Spine center received the threat around 10 a.m.

Police placed the locations at 92 and 96 Campus Drive, as well as 300 Professional Drive in Scarborough on lockdown out of an abundance of caution. The lockdown was lifted after about 90 minutes.

Police are still investigating.
