Three Injured in Turnpike Crash

KENNEBUNK, Maine (WGAN)  State Police say three North Yarmouth residents were injured when the car they were in went off the Maine Turnpike Thursday in Kennebunk and struck a tree.

The three were taken to a Portsmouth, New Hampshire hospital for treatment.

The crash  took place in the southbound lane  around noon when the Subaru Outback skidded on the wet road, overturned on its side and struck the tree.

Injured were 18-year-old Lauren Burrell, who was driving, her mother, 46-year-old Regina Burrell-Krause, and 64 year old Mark Cenci.

Cenci was the most seriously injured and is being treated for a head injury.
