Trailer detaches from truck on I-95 in Penobscot County

MEDWAY, Maine (WGAN) There were no injuries after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on I-95 in Medway on Thursday.

The on-ramp on the southbound side at Exit 244 was closed for several hours on Thursday afternoon as a result of the crash, which happened around 1:30 p.m.

Shannon Moss with the Maine Department of Public Safety says 55-year-old Harold Madden of Greenbush was driving the tractor-trailer that was hauling a bulldozer when the trailer detached, hitting a guardrail and blocking the on-ramp.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
