WATERBORO, Maine (WGAN) The York County Sheriff’s Office says a trailer carrying logs overturned in Waterboro, shutting down a road on Thursday afternoon.

Sheriff William King says 27-year-old Travis Hilton of Waterboro was hauling the trailer with a pick-up truck when he lost control on Main Street near the intersection with Straw Mill Brook Road. It happened around 3 p.m.

The trailer broke free from the truck and rolled over, spilling logs onto the roadway. The road was expected to remain closed for a couple of hours.

Hilton was summonsed for operating after suspension and operating an unsafe motor vehicle.
