No one was injured when a Canadian Pacific Railway train derailed in Maine on Wednesday.

According to the Bangor Daily News, police said the train derailed in Orneville, an unorganized township east of Milo. The derailment was caused by a washout on the tracks.

Fire officials responded to the call around 4 a.m. Wednesday.

The Maine Department of Transportation is gathering information about the derailment. Paul Merrill with the Maine DOT said heavy equipment would be needed to remove the derailed cars and engines. The cleanup is expected to take a couple of days.

None of the four crew members on board were injured, but they were taken to Mayo Regional Hospital to be examined.

Some diesel fuel leaked as a result of the incident, but environmental officials said there was no threat.
