Transportation officials close down part of Route 9 in Durham after culvert fails

Part of Route 9 in Durham has been closed due to a culvert failure.

The Maine Department of Transportation said Tuesday a stretch of Route 9 will be closed for two weeks until the culvert can be replaced with a larger, more resilient one.

The department said a detour was set up using Routes 125 and 136.
