State police cruiser swiped by vehicle in Turner; police remind drivers to slow down

TURNER, Maine (WGAN) Police are reminding drivers to be more cautious after a Maine State Trooper’s vehicle was sideswiped by a passing vehicle during a traffic stop.

State police said Trooper Connor Willard’s cruiser was swiped by a van Monday in Turner along Route 4. The trooper, who was in the cruiser at the time completing paperwork, is okay, as well as the driver of the vehicle that was being stopped and the van’s driver.
