Police say a man died after he crashed his vehicle into the garage at the home of State Rep. Margaret Craven.

Brian Beaucage, 31, of Turner was pronounced dead after the crash, which occured around 1 a.m. Monday.

Craven lives on Russell St. in Lewiston.

According to the Portland Press Herald, police say Beaucage lost control of vehicle, crossed the median and struck the garage, which sustained major damage.

A vehicle inside the garage was also damaged, but Craven, who was home at the time, was not hurt.

Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash.
