South Portland Police are still looking for a gun they say was used in a robbery at a residence earlier this month (April 11).

A lengthy investigation led to the arrest on Monday of a 17-year-old boy from Windham and a 17-year-old boy from Portland at two addresses in Portland (42 Gray Street and 19 Elmwood Street).

SWAT teams from Portland and South Portland assisted in the arrests.

One of the suspects in the robbery was said to have displayed a handgun. He’s being held at a juvenile detention center, while the other boy was released to his parents.

Police say as both suspects are underage, their names are not being released.

  • A 17-year-old male from Portland was charged with Robbery (a class A felony) and misdemeanor Criminal Threatening and Terrorizing. He was transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.
