Two Arrested in Gardiner for Drug Dealing, Gun Charges

Two people face felony drug trafficking charges after being arrested by police in Gardiner.

Officers say they were called to a disturbance complaint on West Hill Rd in Gardiner on Tuesday evening, where they saw what looked like illegal drugs at the residence.

They say a search turned up 107 grams of cocaine, 36 grams of crack cocaine, a 9mm handgun, and cash, along with large amounts of drug paraphernalia.

Two people at the residence were arrested on felony drug and gun charges.

One occupant was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs (class A), Possession of Firearms Prohibited for Certain Persons (Class B), and Violation of Condition of Release (Class E).

The second occupant was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs (Class A) and Violation of Condition of Release (Class E).

Class A felonies in Maine carry a penalty of up to 30 years in prison.
