Two Arrested Over Augusta House Fire from November

Two people are facing charges over a house fire in Augusta.

The fire on Lilac Lane back in November didn’t cause any injuries, but investigators determined it was intentionally started

27-year-old Samuel Howard was arrested last month and 32-year-old Trevor Shorette was arrested Tuesday.

Both men face charges of arson and violating conditions of release.

Howard is charged with Arson (Class A) and Violating Conditions of Release (Class E). At the time of the offense, Howard was on bail conditions. He is currently being held at the Kennebec County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.

Shorette is charged with Arson (Class A) and Violating Conditions of Release (Class E). At the time of the offense, Shorette was on bail conditions. He is currently being held at the Kennebec County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
