ARUNDEL, Maine (WGAN)  The York County Sheriff’s Office says there were only minor injuries after two separate single-car crashes on Limerick Road in Arundel Thursday night.

The first happened around 8:45 p.m.  Deputies say they responded to a vehicle in the woods at 757 Limerick Road.  Deputies say 18-year-old Delaina Boutet was driving her 2009 Saab SUV when it left the roadway and crashed into the woods.

Deputies say Boutet was taken to Southern Maine Healthcare with minor injuries.

The second crash happened a short time later, around 9:30 p.m..  Deputies say 22-year-old Sarah George-Smith was driving her 2008 Kia Optima near the intersection with Downing Road when she went off the road trying to avoid a deer.  She lost control of the car, which hit a guard rail and rolled over, going into a ditch.

Police say George-Smith was taken to Southern Maine Healthcare by Biddeford Rescue with minor injuries.  She was also charged with operating after suspension and violation of conditions of release.

Both crashes are still under investigation.
