KENNEBUNK, Maine (WGAN) Police say two people are in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle crash in Kennebunk.

Around 8:30am on Tuesday, a 41-year-old Wells man heading eastbound on Fletcher Street in a Dodge pickup crossed into the westbound lane and struck a Volkswagen Jetta being driven by a 59-year-old Kennebunk woman. The pickup flipped on impact and struck another pickup being driven by a 47-year-old Kennebunk man. The driver of a fourth vehicle, a 38-year-old Wells man, swerved off the road to avoid the accident, causing some minor property damage.

Fletcher Street was closed for over two hours Tuesday morning following the accident.

The driver of the Dodge pickup and the Volkswagen Jetta were both taken to Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not released the names of those involved, but expect more information to be made available.

Fletcher Street was re-opened to traffic around 10:00 am.
