Portland police responded to a report of a person refusing to leave the Ramada Plaza on Riverside Street around 1:15 p.m. Sunday. The suspect fled but was later tracked down to a parking lot.

After an altercation, 29-year-old Thomas Scott was taken into custody. An officer received treatment for a minor injury at the hospital.

Police said Thomas was in possession of 27 grams of fentanyl. He faces several charges, including drug trafficking, possession of cocaine base, and trafficking in prison contraband. He was also arrested on a warrant from a previous charge.
