Vehicle Fire Put Out Next to Home in Penobscot County

Vehicle fire in Clifton - Eddington Fire Department

A vehicle is a total loss, and the outside of a home has damage after a heavy fire in Clifton, east of Bangor, on Saturday morning.

Two fire departments, from Eddington and Holden, were sent to the scene on Scott Point Rd., where they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the vehicle.

Firefighters say they put out the fire quickly, which had been raging five feet from propane tanks.

There were no injuries, and damage to the house was limited to its exterior.

The cause is under investigation.
