Vehicle hit by train in Brunswick; driver suffers minor injuries

BRUNSWICK, Maine (WGME-TV) Police say a woman whose vehicle was hit by a train in Brunswick was being treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

According to CBS 13, it happened Monday afternoon at a private train crossing in the driveway of the New Meadows Motel off Bath Road when the 61-year-old woman was trying to drive across the tracks.

Police said she didn’t see the train coming, and that there are no flashing lights at the crossing, only a railroad crossing sign.

She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating.
