Vermont Man Arrested for Theft in Milford

MILFORD, Maine (WGAN)  The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says a Vermont man has been arrested in connection with a burglary in Milford.

The sheriff’s office says they received a call about a residential burglary on Call Road in Milford on Sunday.  When deputies arrived, they say they found the residence had received substantial damage and several items were taken, including military awards from a family member’s shadow box.

After an investigation, the sheriff’s department says 26-year-old Joshua Francis was arrested at a residence in Greenbush.  Most of the stolen items, including the military awards, were recovered.

Francis has been charged with burglary, theft and aggravated criminal mischief.
