The state medical examiner has identified the victim in a fire in Robbinston.

Fire marshals say the fire broke out at a home on Ridge Road the evening of October 7th.

On Friday, the medical examiner’s officer said the victim was identified as 66-year-old Wayne Morrill, who died of smoke inhalation. Morrill was the only person injured in the fire.

The fire marshal’s office says the cause of the fire is under investigation, but they believe it started near the kitchen and entryway of the building.
