The suspect and victims involved in a disturbing double murder in Virginia have ties to Maine.

WGME-TV reports Levi Norwood, 17, of Midland, Virginia is accused of shooting and killing his mother and little brother on Valentine’s Day.

His mother, Jennifer Norwood, was just 34. His brother, Wyatt, was only 6.

The father, Joshua Norwood, discovered their bodies as he came home with flowers for his wife.

Joshua Norwood’s mother lives in Sullivan, in Hancock County. He and his wife lived in Maine before moving to Virginia more than a decade ago.

Some family members have traveled from Maine to Virginia to be with Joshua Norwood, who police say was shot and wounded by his son after he came home.
