A Florida woman whose car became trapped in flood waters in Waterboro was rescued by a Game Warden.

The Maine Warden Service says 76-year-old Karen Palmer was stuck on Hunts Corner Road late Monday night, when it was flooded with water from Crooked River.

A Warden was driving through the area when he spotted the vehicle. He was able to get Palmer, who was hypothermic and disoriented, out of the car and back to his truck.

Another Warden arrived to retrieve medication and other items from Palmer’s car. Palmer was checked out at the scene by EMS and then given a ride back to Poland where she was staying.
