Wardens Find Body of Missing Hunter

NEW PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN)  The Maine Warden Service says a missing hunter’s body was found Sunday afternoon in New Portland.

Wardens had said they were looking for 59-year-old Todd Babula.  His body was found around 3:30 p.m.

Wardens said Babula was reported missing Saturday evening by his uncle.  His uncle had told wardens he had dropped Babula off near his car Friday night, which had gotten stuck on a snowmobile trail.

Wardens say they found the Portsmouth, New Hampshire man’s body in a heavily wooded area north of the snowmobile trail.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was notified.
