A woman from Oxford County was rescued by game wardens Friday.

76-year-old Elaine Makos, of Hanover, was hiking the Whitecap Mountain Trails in Rumford Thursday when she became lost.

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife says Makos spent Thursday night in the woods and then called 911.

First responders located her Friday night and brought her to Rumford Community Hospital. She was dehydrated and tired.
